Tofu Tikka Masala
Tofu Tikka Masala is a hearty meal, loaded with authentic Indian flavors! This is a quick and flavorful Tofu Masala recipe that takes just 10 minutes to prepare. Serve with basmati rice or a flatbreadlike vegan naan or roti.
Ingredients
- 1 Block (air-fried, broiled or plain with water squeezed out)
- 4 Tomatoes - cut into thin long strips
- 1 Onion - cut into thin strips
Spices
- 1 teaspoon Tandoori Masala
- 1 teaspoon Dhania (Coriander Powder)
- 1 teaspoon Jeera (Cumin Powder)
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon Kasoori Methi
- 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Salt for taste
Garnish
- Cilantro: Fresh (chopped, for garnish)
- Lime: Wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Instructions - IP Option:
- Layer 1: 4 tomatoes, cut into thin long strips.
- Layer 2: 1 medium red onion cut into thin strips.
- Layer 3: Add the spices (salt, turmeric, kasoori methi, chili powder, tandoori masala, dhania powder, jeera powder and ginger garlic paste).
- Set the Instant Pot to 2 mins, Manual mode and Quick Pressure Release.
Instructions - Pan Option:
- Saute Onions with a little bit of water at a time.
- Add tomatoes and all the spices until soft.
Common Instructions:
- Blend the mixture using a hand blender until smooth.
- Add 1 block of air-fried, broiled, or plain tofu cubes (with water squeezed out). Adjust the spices as needed.
- Cover and simmer for 2-5 mins.
Notes
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges. Enjoy!
