Method
Dry Roast all spices individually:
- Dry roast chillies for about 5 minutes. Watch carefully so it doesn’t burn
- Dry roast Methi (Fenugreek) seeds for 2 to 3 minutes
- Dry roast Mustard seeds
- Add Turmeric Powder and Hing (Asafoetida)
- Grind to a fine powder
- Authentic amma’s pickle powder is ready.
Notes
- Pick your vegetables or green apples or green mango, finely diced. Option of vegetables: Carrots, jalapenos, cauliflower, turnips, red cabbage, etc.
- Finely dice vegetables or green apples
- Add juice of lime (to taste, optional)
- Add Pickle Masala
- Adjust spices and salt
- Add dry roasted mustard seeds
